A Story of Hope
Omar’s Journey to Independence
Omar was just ten years old when his life changed forever. A bombing in his village in Syria left him with severe injuries, resulting in the loss of his right leg. His dreams of running with his friends and helping his family seemed shattered.
In a region torn apart by war, Omar’s family struggled to meet their basic needs, let alone afford the medical care and prosthetic limb he needed. But their prayers for help were answered through Helper Hand’s Prosthetic Assistance Program.
With the help of generous donors, Omar received a custom-made prosthetic leg, tailored to his needs. The road to recovery wasn’t easy. Weeks of rehabilitation and therapy tested his resilience, but Omar’s determination never wavered.
